• An IEEE Class 1 device, the 5312 IP Phone runs on 3.62 watts while competitive phone sets use 6.15 watts.
• A 3,000-watt power-over-ethernet (PoE) switch can power 470 Mitel phones versus 228 competitor phones.
• When the Mitel 5340 IP Phone is not in use, it automatically powers down, turning off the LCD backlight so it will use 80 percent less energy than when in full power.
• Mitel IP sets and controllers contain lower levels of harmful chemicals including lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, cadmium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants. As a result, these products are RoHS compliant.
